2007 Chevrolet Silverado Pickup Review
The Chevy Silverado has been redesigned for 2007 with attractive new styling, a wider body and an all new interior that is great for work or fun.
Suspension: The suspension offers a nice ride. It is firm and handles bums well. It handles. I tested the Z85 suspension which is designed to be a little stiffer for enhanced handling and towing. The front suspension has a coil over shock absorber design and I found the ride and handling to be good.
Interior: Silverado calls its interior design "pure pickup" and includes nice features like 2 glove compartments in the dash, bucket seats and a permanent center console that can store lots of items. I found that the truck is much more quiet than previous versions when driving in normal road conditions.
Fuel Economy: The Silverado gets a combined fuel economy MPG of 18 miles per gallon. This is the big drawback for this truck and should be considered when thinking about buying. At $3.00 per gallon this will be a very expensive vehicle to own and operate over time. I would love to see this truck with an efficient, clean diesel.
Overall: My impression of the 2007 Chevy Silverado is positive. It has an attractive package of features including new styyling, interior, frame, and new suspension. I found the truck to have a nice ride and should be popular with those in the market for a quality pick up.
