Westin Chicago River North Review
The Room: The rooms are spacious and the furniture is elegant and simple. They have a flat screen TV and all the Internet needs. The bathroom is also spacious and well laid out. The heavenly bed doesn't disappoint and I've always slept well. The room is both comfortable and functional.
Service: Never had a problem with the service. The staff is attentive, friendly and tries hard to please the customer.
Dining: I've had breakfast/brunch several times and always found it to be good. They have a great buffet on the weekends and a mini buffet dutring the week. You can always choose from the menu as well. They have a nice selection and variety from oatmeal to eggs to all the usual breakfast fare.
Location: While there is about a 10 minute walk to get to Michigan Ave., I like this location better than other Chicago Hotels I've visited. It's a cheap cab ride to almost anywhere downtown and it's considerably more quiet and less hectic than other locations. Also, it's nice to have the Chicago river right outside.
Overall:This is my favorite Chicago hotel and I always enjoy my stay. The decor in the lobby is Asian and has a calming effect on me. The bar area serves good sushi and light fare and is a nice place to relax. I highly recommend this hotel.
